When it comes to vintage style, reclining bathtubs, the single slipper and the double ended slipper clawfoot tub is the most popular style. There are two different styles of slipper tubs; the single slipper and double slipper. The single slipper tub has one end of the bathtub which sweeps up. This enables one to relax as they bathe and it takes any stress off of the back and neck (when compared to other tubs which do not have a raised end). A double slipper tub has two ends of the bathtub raised up. This allows for reclining at either end of the tub and these models tend to be roomier than the single slipper tubs. Slipper tubs will differ in how much the elevated or sloped tub wall raises. Be sure to look at the interior floor space so that you are aware of how much space you have to stretch out in the reclining bathtub.
