Deck Mount Tub Faucets
One of the most popular designs for classic tub faucets is the deck mount faucet. If your clawfoot tub requires a Deckmount faucet you have come to the right place. We have a nice selection of deck mount bathtub faucets. Perhaps you are not sure why your tub needs a particular type of faucet like Deckmount. "Deckmount" identifies where the faucet will be placed on the tub. Tubs that have a wider, somewhat flatter rim around or the tub with holes in it, is a tub that requires a deckmount or "rim mount" faucet. Sometimes a tub will have a "rolled rim" all the way around with the exception of a flat spot with two holes in it. That flat spot is so the faucet can be set level and the two holes are for the faucet stems to rest in. The water supply lines will connect to the faucet stem so there will be a hot water side and a cold water side.
As you see in this "Deckmount Faucet" section, we carry the British Telephone or Classic Telephone Faucet with a Hand Held Shower Sprayer. In the eyes of many with a Vintage style clawfoot tub, the British Telephone seems totally set the vision tub. The Classic Telephone faucet puts out 10 gallons of water per minute. That amount of water fills a tub pretty quickly. With the purchase of the faucet, there is occasionally an option of the type of handles desired. Choose between metal cross handles with a white ceramic hot/cold tab or plain metal or lever handles. Be sure to check the description of the faucet carefully. Another option is to call the toll free number and speak with a representative. Additionally, the classic telephone and the gooseneck faucets are both available for installation as a bathtub wall mounted faucet.
Another popular style of deck mount bathtub faucets is the English Telephone or Gooseneck Faucet. This faucet is a bit more modern looking but the handheld shower sprayer gives the overall appearance of Vintage or Victorian style. The faucet can usually be purchased without the handheld shower if desired. As with the Classic Telephone faucet, the Gooseneck faucet has handle options such white porcelain levers with hot/cold written in black, totally metal levers in the same finish as the faucet itself or metal cross handles.
Both the British Telephone faucet and the Gooseneck Deckmount faucets require a riser or "deckmount" for the installation of the faucet on the rim. The Gooseneck Faucet uses a 2-inch deckmount that lifts the body of the faucet up 2 inches. When purchasing the Classic Telephone faucet there is a choice of either a 2 inch or 6-inch deckmount. The choice here is purely ascetic, as either will work according to your personal design style.
There are plenty of Deckmount Roman Tub Fillers to choose from as well. If you have a modern tub, be sure to count the number of holes on your tub prior to making a purchase of a Roman Tub Filler, because they will normally require at least 3 holes and 4 holes if the faucet comes with a shower sprayer. Most Vintage style tubs only have 2 holes on the rim of the tub.
